Claire Park is an Associate in the Litigation group. Her practice focuses on insurance coverage disputes, product liability defense, and commercial trial work. She represents insurers in first-party and third-party coverage matters, defends Connecticut manufacturers in product cases, and handles commercial-contract disputes that find their way into state and federal court.
Park earned her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School in 2021 and her B.A. from Brown University in 2017. She clerked for the Hon. Janet Bond Arterton on the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut from 2021 to 2022 and joined Oak, Elm & Birch immediately following her clerkship.
## Representative Matters
- Associate counsel for a Hartford-area specialty insurer in a first-party property coverage dispute in the D. Conn., including briefing on the insurance-contract interpretation question later certified to the Connecticut Supreme Court, 2023–2024.
- Second-chaired a summary judgment argument before the Hon. Vanessa L. Bryant, D. Conn., in a commercial breach-of-contract action, 2023.
- Represented a Connecticut-based manufacturer in a coverage-allocation dispute among three primary and excess insurers arising from a long-tail product-liability claim, 2024.
## Pro Bono
Park handles asylum representation through the Connecticut Institute for Refugees and Immigrants, including two successful merits hearings since joining the firm. She also contributes to the Litigation group's civil-rights pro bono docket.
